Church for Children

St Mary's Youth Link Outward Bounds week

Children are welcome at all services at St Mary’s. There is a play area with toys and activities at the back of the St Nicholas chapel for children during a service as well as...

Sunday School runs during our 9:30 Sunday Eucharist, in the church centre for art and craft , games and stories from the Bible.

On the third Sunday of the month Junior Church for our grown up children and young people meets in the mezzanine area of the centre, with tunes played and discussion. Learning more about Jesus Christ and understanding God’s Love for all is met through both prayer and activity.

All ages of worshippers then gather together in the main church building to share all we have done.

St Mary's Youth Link Outward Bounds weekLittle Hearts: is a short service of craft, songs, stories and fun for preschool children that starts at 11:30 on the first Sunday of the month.

Messy Church: runs twice a term on a Saturday, with craft activities, food, fun, friends, songs and worship. Our next fine Mess will be at 3 pm on June 17.

Director of MusicMusic at St Mary's

St Mary’s has a strong musical tradition. Built around the regular weekly services of Sung Eucharist and Choral Evensong, our highly-regarded choir of boys and adults sings a wide variety of music. St Mary's Ladies Choir lead the Sunday worship and perform an anthem once a month. In 2016 we started our girls' choir. During the summer months a 'scratch' choir operates, open to all.
